Scott tagged me with this post. It’s taken from those emails that have a list of questions with the sender’s answers, which you’re supposed to answer yourself and send on to others. They can be fun, so I decided to participate this time.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
I always used wrapping paper until Bunnies4Buddha introduced me to gift bags.

2. Real tree or Artificial?
I prefer real.

3. When do you put up the tree?
I don’t, but the weekend after Thanksgiving seems appropriate.

4. When do you take the tree down?
Around New Years is reasonable.

5. Do you like eggnog?
No.

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
I don’t have a favorite.

7. Hardest person to buy for?
My step father or grandmother. They are both tough to buy for.

8. Easiest person to buy for?
My father.

9. Do you have a nativity scene?
No. I’m not impressed by that myth.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Cards never even occurred to me until I met Bunnies4Buddha. Now she does the mail kind.

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I don’t know.

12. Favorite Christmas movie?
Don’t have one.

13. When do you start shopping?
Too late every year. Usually the week before Christmas.

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? re-gifting?
No.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
A family recipe for sugar cookies.

16. Lights on the tree?
If I had my own, yes.

17. Favorite Christmas song?
What Child Is This. Just because I find the myth silly doesn’t mean it can’t inspire beautiful music, even if it’s really just Green Sleeves set to Christian lyrics.

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Both! We’re traveling to the place that, in many ways, we still consider home.

19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer’s?
No.

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
If I had to choose between the two? A star, I guess.

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Both. It’s an effect of coming from a divorced family.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?
There are certain Christmas songs that are the most insidious mind-worms. Even giving their titles is enough to feed the worm.

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
Silver and blue decorations are the ones I like best, but I have no eye for decorating.

24. Favorite Christmas memory?
Too many great memories to pick a favorite.

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
Time with family, which is exactly what I’ll get.

26. Who is most likely to respond to this?
No one as I rarely send these things on.
